Not this week...

Well, I won't know about the job until next Wednesday. She said there were having more interviews and that they are pushing back the date they will let everyone know. Bummer-just means I have to keep waiting and wondering. Yuck!!!

Mom and I took Taegan trick or treating at her work today and she got TONS of candy. She really doesn't even need to go on Saturday, but we will do a bit! She had a blast and was the hit of the place-she finally got the hang of what we were doing when she was half done. So fun!!!

Another good week for weigh in. I lost 3 pounds and Justin lost 1!!! We are rocking and rolling with this, and we even ate out a few times. We just made good choices and didn't eat as much as we usually do. I am off to relax...

Interview...

Not much is going on with us-although it has not been one of my(or Taegan's) better days. She started the morning off bright and early at 5:30! I made use of my time and got some things crossed off the to do list. We headed to the library at 9 to find some books and rent a new beloved "DoodleBops" movie to find out that they were doing inventory and we couldn't!!! Yikes-this is going to be an issue in a few days when we don't have any "Bops" to watch around here...time will tell.

I got a phone call at 10:30 to set up an interview for a parent educator I applied for last week....they wanted me to come in at 12:30!!! I had to hurry figure out what to do with a sleepy Taegan and hope that should would eat and sleep well while I was at the interview-that I had to drive 40 minutes to get to! I got her dropped off and off I went.

Interview went GREAT and I will know by Friday if I got it or not(a few prayers won't hurt)! I am heading home, call mom and Taegan is sound asleep-good! I hang up and 5 minutes later get pulled over for a speeding ticket. I am so irritated about it I won't even go into details about it...let's just say it was 146.00 and I am NOT happy about it. I haven't eaten lunch so I swing through Burger King to get a small onion ring(still on the diet) and there are 5, yes, 5 rings in there. Pretty annoyed by that as well.

I get to the street that leads to my parents house(5 miles long) to find them redoing the pavement and I get stuck following the construction truck going 5 miles an hour. WOW!!! Five minutes into this fantastic journey my cell rings and it is my panicked mom on the other end asking where I am at because Taegan has been screaming and crying bloody murder for 20 minutes. I am going as fast as I can. I get there to Taegan being unconsolable for another 10 minutes....and only has slept for 40 minutes.

That was enough to put me over the edge, but I stayed strong and came home and worked out and played with Taegan and the night is winding down. I am hoping tomorrow brings a better day-it will be busy with MOPS and subbing in the afternoon, but maybe things will go a bit better!!! Fingers crossed.

Not her best performance...

We are all feeling better...finally. I really thought we had stayed away from everyone enough so that no one would get what we had-wrong! Dad ended up getting it on Monday and mom got it on Tuesday. So now I think everyone has gotten it that will get it...I hope. No one in Justin's family has gotten sick so it seems to be gone for now!

Yesterday, Taegan had her 18 month pictures taken. They didn't go the best. I think part of the problem was that I had my hopes set a little higher than maybe I should have! You see, with all of her past picture sessions she has not been very mobile and for sure didn't have the stubborn attitude she has recently gained. Yesterday her true colors showed only 15 minutes into the shoot-wow that was early. I had some really cute outfits that she wore(including a very colorful tutu that Dad was NOT excited about) and I was hoping for the best. She made it through the first outfit and then decided she was done. Poor Jenni(the photographer) was having to just do what Taegan decided and hope for the best shots. We even got a few of her crying in total drama style-can't wait to see those. Jenni said it would be about 2 weeks before we could see proofs...but she emailed last night and said they were ready!!! Oh how excited was I??? I get to go see them tomorrow around 11 and then I will put the link on here for everyone to enjoy. Just remember that she cried for the last 15 minutes of the shoot when you are looking at them.

On a completely new topic-Justin and I are kicking some butt on this Weight Watchers diet. We are not attending meetings, just have all the books and are doing it here together at home. In the last two weeks I have last 3 pounds and he has lost 4.5. I have also been working out 5 days a week-and I can tell. I am doing Wii Personal Fitness Coach and I really enjoy it. It tailors the workout to you and you tell them how long and it makes up a workout for you each day. I do it during naptime and then I can enjoy the rest of my day with Taegan and Justin. We are also quickly realizing how we should eat...and how we WERE eating! Justin's aunt Lisa is also doing it and we will see her again at Thanksgiving and hope to compare what we have lost. She has been kicking butt and is down 50 pounds-she looks great!!! Wish us luck.

And just in case you were curious of what Taegan's face looked like yesterday during some of her picture session...here you go!!!

The Sick Family...

I know it has been a week since I have updated and that makes me super lazy, but I have a bit of a reason. I woke up Thursday morning to Taegan's crib covered in vomit and I had not heard one thing!!! I felt like an awful mom. As soon as I sat her up she started again-yikes. She was set to go to a playdate with Jeanette while I was getting the car worked on. So much for that. Instead we headed to the bath, kept our jammies on and settled in for a long day. She was dry heaving and not herself at all. She wanted to cuddle and carry her blanket around all day.

Around 10:30 I started in with a queasy tummy and could not get out of the bathroom-that sucks when you have a sick kiddo!!! We both took naps, Justin got home at about 4 and took care of Taegan(who by this time was no longer getting sick just wanted attention). I was sick all day and night, but by morning was only suffering from lack of energy and soreness. Taegan was back to herself and we just hung out. Justin called around 10:30 Friday morning from work and said I am headed home I am sick-GEEZ!!!

We were all well by Saturday mid morning and ready for the KSU game!! And what a game that was. My mom is really doing well and moving very well. I got her out of the house this morning and we headed to Target. I am set to sub tomorrow afternoon and then we have Taegan's 18 month pictures on Wednesday morning-I am so excited!!!!

Talk to you soon...I have some cute Halloween costume pictures that I will save for next time!

A lazy weekend...perfect!

We did nothing all weekend and it was GREAT. We did try and brave the pumpkin patch on Saturday morning with a temperature outside of 36 and needless to say I got NO pictures!!! We dressed Miss Taegan up and everything in hopes that I could get a few good ones-no chance. Taegan is NOT a cold weather girl and from the moment she was out of the car she was shivering. So we quick grabbed some pumpkins for home and I will try to take pictures at home. We might try and get back out there so she can roam around later this week or next when it warms up a bit. Other then that we sat inside our nice warm house(I had to turn on the heater), ate a huge pot of chili, watched football until we couldn't watch anymore, and enjoyed our time together.

This week is busy- I am working today, Mom's surgery is tomorrow(if you could say a prayer for her I would appreciate it), we have MOPS tomorrow morning, I work again Thursday, and a doctor appointment on Friday, Justin's brother and sister in law come in Thursday and we can't wait to see Miss Kinsley!!! So we are in for a long week-and it is rainy and cold!!!

Off to getting going on this dreary day! I will let you know how Mom is tomorrow night.

Our Balloon Trip...

I am sorry it has been a few days since we have been home and I haven't posted! We got home at about 11:30 Monday night and Tuesday and Wednesday were catch up/clean up days. I have finally got everything caught up and now I am back to work/subbing for a few days. I will let the pictures tell you about our trip-which was fantastic. Taegan did great on her first plane ride and slept great the entire trip. We got a chance to attend the balloon fiesta, aquarium, zoo, shopping, the longest tramway, and just hang out together!!! What a trip we had. Enjoy the pictures and comments.

Looking out the window at our plane that had just arrived.

We had gotten all strapped in and ready to go-you can see her holding on to Justin and wasn't quite sure what to think yet!!

Halfway through the ride she was relaxed, eating snacks with her baby, and watching the DoodleBops on DVD.

Watching the HUGE fish at the aquarium.

Our one attempt at a family picture!
Enjoying some juice as we walked through the botanical garden.
Watching the ducks with Daddy-so sweet!
Early morning(4:30 am)-bundled up at the balloon fiesta to see the balloons glow!
Clapping with Grandma as the first balloon took off.
All dressed up for the KSU game even though we were in New Mexico.
Sitting back with her "laptop" watching the balloons lift off.
This was after the first round of balloons lifted off!!!! What a sight to see.
I LOVED these two balloons. The size of them is something that is so hard to describe.
Half of the sky full of balloons as we walked to the car.
The moon rising over the mountain one evening.
Can you tell the wind is blowing and we were starting to get cold???
Waiting in line for the tram to land so we could board it-this was a lot more intense then I was ready for!
And this is how the trip ended-landing asleep in Daddy's arms!
We had such a great trip...many memories for the future to share with her!

We're off...

Well, we are packed and ready to take on this new adventure of a plane ride with a 17 month old!!! Yikes...but we can't wait. It has been a crazy busy week and I am ready for a break. See you soon-

She thought it would help me pack if she sat in it!!!
Dressed and ready!

Going Strong...

Priceless...
