Last Christmas Post...

We started the Christmas time with some snow...okay a lot of snow! It started snowing on Christmas Eve and continued until the day after Christmas. With that being quite a concern-we were in Blizzard Warnings, we headed out to Justin's parents early in the day and hung out, ate and then opened gifts. When we headed home that evening after 9 the roads were slick and snow packed, but we made it! Taegan had a ball opening her gifts out there-loved tearing the paper and seeing what all she got.
Here she is before we left home, I love this dress too!! And this shows you her personality perfectly!!
With Daddy.
And making a frown face with Mommy!
That whole line of presents in front of her are hers!!! She was a good girl this year.
Opening presents is a serious job.
Pouring some tea from her new tea set.
When we got home Christmas Eve, Taegan went right to bed.(On a side note-she has mastered the no pacifier and those are history! Only took a week!) Justin and I decided to do our gifts to each other once she was in bed and enjoy the time together. It was nice to open ours and hang out! We woke up Christmas morning to a blizzard taking place and 9 inches of snow on the ground!!! It was SOOO pretty. Taegan was read to see what Santa brought her...
Climbing under the tree for her gifts!
Sitting in front of her loot.
By looking out our window the roads did not look really bad, we knew they were gonna be rough but we really wanted to spend the day with my parents. Mom told us not to come because there were drifts everywhere by their house...but I was not gonna spend the day without them! So we packed up, bundled up, and headed out. We stopped on the way to help a stuck car, made it 2 miles from their house and there were 4 cars stuck in the road we needed to drive through. We managed to swerve and get past them...only to get stuck ourselves half a mile away. I wish I would have taken a picture, but I was too busy walking in 5 foot drifts to my parents from the car to get a shovel!!!! We made it and everyone was so happy to be together. We enjoyed fresh baked cinnamon rolls, scrambled eggs, and bacon while trying to warm up. After that Miss Taegan was ready to see what she got there as well.
Sitting in her new chair with her new American Girl doll.
Opening a present in her new found seat! Silly girl.
This was our house Christmas night...still snowing. We ended up with 11 inches.
The drifts on Justin's van-good thing he didn't have to go to work.
Our Christmas was amazing this year and we had a ball with Taegan. She enjoyed it all and got so much stuff I am having to reorganize areas to put things!!! We are excited for the New Year and lots of changes for us as a family. We are eager to get healthy and happy and that will happen!

Christmas part 2...cousin Kinsley

I am so sorry it has been a bit since I have been on here, life has gotten crazy busy and this is my favorite time of year so I am trying to soak it all in!!! With that said, I will carry on with what has happened the last week:) For starters we enjoyed a lazy morning watching cartoons in bed and I just had to snap this picture because it shows how just alike Taegan and Justin are...
Then last Friday we got to go over and finally see cousin Kinsley, Aunt Melissa, and Uncle Kyle. They flew in for the holidays last Wednesday and we spent the evening out there Friday for Greg's birthday and it was a lot of fun. I was so excited to see Taegan's reaction to Kinsley now that she can be down and play with her-kind of. She wasn't too excited when I held her and wanted to be held as well. As soon as I put them both down on the blanket and we let them interact it was super cute. She was giving kisses and hugs all over Kinsley! She did decided however, that Kinsley's boppy that she uses to help her practice sitting should be Taegan's toy and gets irritated when Kinsley is sitting in it!!! Oh the joys:)

She is going in for a kiss here...

Kinsley is not too sure about her!

On Sunday we got to go back over to Grandma and Grandpa's for the extended Ross Christmas! There were lots of people there she wasn't sure about, and lots of kids that were playing with the toys she usually plays with out there! She warmed up real well to everyone and enjoyed the afternoon. Here she is all dressed up in my favorite dress of hers so far!!!!

Here she is kissing her Minnie ornament on the tree!!!
We had a fun weekend and the first part of this week has flown by. I will finish my wrapping tonight and we start our big Christmas's tomorrow!!! I can't wait. Taegan will have so much fun this year and LOVES unwrapping presents. On a side note-we started the no pacifier boot camp on Sunday night and I thought I was gonna cave in. She cried and cried, but each night it has gotten less and less. I am happy to report that tonight-NOT ONE CRY came from her room!!!! What a big girl she is!!! Merry Christmas to everyone.

Disney World 2009

What a fun trip we had to Florida last week. We left on Thursday and arrived home late Monday night. Our flight was delayed an hour leaving and two hours on the way home. That huge snowstorm really caused some back-up with the planes. Overall, the flights went well and we made it there and back safely. Taegan decided to give us a run for our money on the flight home which caused a bit of tenseness between everyone, but we were fine once the plane landed!!! I was so excited to experience this trip with her. Disney World is my all time favorite place to go and I just couldn't wait to share this excitement with her. She loved it all from the minute we got there. I will let the pictures do the talking, but there was one character she did not like at all....Goofy! Poor guy scared the heck out of her everytime she saw him. All we could do was laugh because she would blow kisses and hug the rest of the characters. The lines for the rides were pretty short and we got to swim because it was 80 degrees there!!!! Enjoy.

Dressed up like Minnie for the character breakfast the first morning.
Her first ride...on a Dino with Daddy!
Waiting in line to meet the princesses.
The first princess.
Meeting Cinderella.
Winnie the Pooh ride, holding on like a big girl.
Snow White ride, a bit scared during this ride.
It's a Small World.
Loving on Minnie-she was her favorite!!!
Cinderella's castle-hard to put into words how pretty this was!
Our night in Epcot.
Toes in the sand...in her jammies!
Hanging out on Pooh's head!
Petting the Lego dogs-she LOVED these.
Checking out the lights in Hollywood Studios with Daddy.
Swimming at night...it was still 80 degrees.
Enjoying her ice cream treat after swimming.
One of my favorite pictures from the trip-this was our last day there.
She loves 1,2,3 game.
Heading for home...last picture in Disney.

Picture overload...

Here are some pictures of the last week or so...we are stuck inside again as the weather is AWFUL outside, but are looking forward to getting on a plane tomorrow headed for Florida. Minnie and Mickey here we come.

Investigating her house in the snow.

Not liking the snow at all.
Wanting the snow off of her boots right now!
All bundled up and excited to go, until she got out there and realized no thanks.
Helping Grandma make sugar cookies.
Going through the automatic door at Crown Center...the newest toy for her!
Hanging with Dad watching the cars drive below us at Crown Center.
Relaxing in her bed, she wanted to watch Mickey and eat breakfast in her bed before getting up for the morning!!!
Talking to Mickey.

Snow...and Disney World

Today was our first real snow for Taegan to enjoy...or I thought she would enjoy. I shoveled the driveway before she woke up and thought we would go play in the late morning. Got her up and all bundled-headed outside, and she cried!! And kept crying...dang it. I got some cute video and pictures of her that I will share tomorrow. Trying to get dinner decided on and pick up the house that she has decided to make a mess since we have been stuck inside!!!

On a much better note-we leave for Disney World in 48 hours!!!!! I can't wait....

Christmas part 1...

On Saturday we headed out West for Kanopolis, Kansas!!! Justin had left earlier in the morning to go with his parents to watch his cousin Ty coach his high school team in the state championship, so Taegan and I made the journey alone to Grandmas. We would be meeting Justin and his parents there. I let her take a nap and then we got up and around and ready to go. The drive went very well and Taegan did awesome until about the last 10 minutes of the 2 hour drive. All in all I was proud of our journey! Once we got there she was very shy around everyone and it took a bit for her to warm up to people. Once she did-she was her usual fun happy self. I decided to bring along her bag of blocks for her to have something to play with and that was the first thing she did with her cousin Brekkyn-

Once everyone got there and we all said our hellos we decided to eat dinner(it was 7 o'clock!) and then we made a decision to do the presents Saturday night instead of Sunday morning so we wouldn't be so rushed. This turned out to be a great idea because Sunday we just all relaxed, got brunch ready, talked some more and then headed home. So here are a few pictures of Taegan opening her first presents for Christmas this year:
Opening her "melmo" doll!!!!

Showing Grandma how to put his pacifier in.
Opening her pig pillow pal(that she LOVES).
Laying next to Brekkyn with their pillow pals and Elmo.
It was a great weekend, one that I look forward to every year. I love the way his family hangs out and relaxes and just loves being together. It was so fun to watch Taegan actually play this year with Brekkyn, who is one year older than her, and look forward to what they will get into next year.
We leave in 10 days for Disney World and I absolutely can't wait to go!!!!! This is my Mom, Dad, and I's favorite vacation together of all time-and now we get to take Taegan! What a fun trip it will be for the 5 of us. Justin and I were just talking last night about how Taegan will just be in awe of everything. Counting down...have a good start to your week!

Going Strong...

Priceless...
