First Day of Pre-K for Taegan

I know I am WAY behind on here. Life continues to be busy and crazy. I am doing my best to keep up everyday-or just get through the day! Today is all about Miss Taegan's first day of Pre-K. She was SUPER excited to be starting school again. She could hardly wait for the day to come, she started asking me in August how many more days until she got to go. Needless to say, we are all glad she is back to school two days a week. This girl LOVES school and loves to have school time at home when she doesn't go to actual school. I love her willingness to learn new things and to make new friends. She is so innocent when it comes to friends and is willing to play with anyone and doesn't judge. I wish she would stay in this stage forever!
I saw this idea on Pinterest and I loved how it turned out! I will do this each year.
Her BFF Hailey-she was so excited they get to go to Pre-K with her this year.
 My special girl.
Heading in for her first day.

Her first day went great and she loves Miss Janet! I wish I could hit a pause button to help slow down time. We are so proud of you Taegan and love you so much.

5 year anniversary trip

Justin and I celebrated 5 years of marriage on July 14! We had always said when we got married in Jamaica that on 5 years we would be back there celebrating, and then life happened. We had two kiddos before we had planned and things were just not in a place for us to be able to go back this year. We had decided we would just go out to dinner one night and call it good; then I started researching places to go that were close and we found something we thought would be fun! Eureka Springs, Arkansas in a treehouse...
 Anniversary morning

I took a shower and this is what I came out to...a poem written by Justin!
We headed here for breakfast.
This is what I had-a blueberry muffin with ice cream and blueberry syrup!

After breakfast we headed to Cosmic Caverns and went on the hour long tour. It was SO cool and we had a fun time together. We then headed to downtown Eureka Springs and walked around, found some good deals, and then we headed back to the hotel. We had plans to eat at a small place named Ermilio's and we needed to be there when they opened at 5 because they get full very fast. After a nap, we got ready and headed out!
Dressed up and ready! It was delicious!

The next pictures are of the treehouses we stayed in. I was so excited about these when I found them online and they didn't disappoint at all. There are only 10 of them, in a gated place, and no kids allowed. It was perfect for our getaway and we would stay here again in a heartbeat.
The welcome sign as you drive through the gate.
 Peaceful waterfall
Our treehouse...yes it is on trees and sways when you are in it.
The tub and kitchen area-with a "Happy Anniversary" sign for us!
This is a street we found in historic downtown-my maiden name spelled the right way!!!

We had such a great weekend and it was so nice to be away with him for 3 days!! We are excited to go to Jamaica for our 10 year:)

Summer hodge-podge

I am behind on what has been going on in our lives and I am going to be caught up by the end of the weekend-this is a goal for myself:) We have had a busy and fun summer with lots of plans that have kept us on the go. There have been a few weeks that we have been able to stay home and just relax, although we aren't the best at that in our family! I can't believe school is starting soon and summer is coming to a close. Here are a few pictures of us playing around and enjoying the HOT summer days.
Taegan and Mommy date night to Outback-it was a reward for her behavior chart.

She was being super cute this day.
He loves being able to see himself on my phone before I take the picture.
It was dress up like a cow day-he just wanted to play with the cow.
Sibling love in their tie-die Taegan did at summer camp.
 Open mouth kisses!
Laekan was needing Mommy time at nap:)

Mall of America trip

We have been a busy family this summer! Mom, Dad, Taegan, Laekan and I headed up to the Mall of America in late June. Justin stayed back to work and he wasn't too excited about shopping that much anyways:) I was a bit nervous about the drive with both kids, but they surprised everyone. Laekan decided he was only going to nap for 30 minutes and Taegan napped for about 45...the WHOLE way there! We made 4 stops and the kids did great. Once we got there it was shop til we dropped everyday. Mom and I were thankful to have Dad with us because he stayed at the hotel during nap times and bed times, which allowed Mom and I some time to shop and actually look at stuff!! We had a lot of fun and the kids had fun playing and shopping. They loved have Papa Steve with them without him working!!!
Loving on his "moo-cow"
Riding the roller coaster-Dad was excited!
Posing...
She got a matching outfit with her American Girl Doll.
More loves.
This kid LOVES bottles and he was dancing away with it in his mouth.
Watching gymnastics trials before bed.
I love this look on her face!

Thanks Mom and Dad for such a fun trip!! We had a blast.

A night out

Justin and I scored free weekend ticket passes to the Country Stampede this past weekend. We used to always go and camp at the Stampede, then we had kids and life happened! However, we were excited to be able to go up there one night and hang out with my cousin and just have some fun together. It was super hot and miserable when we got there, but the sun set around 7 or so and we were fine. We spent the entire time with my cousin Megan and had a blast. In fact we are hoping to be able to go back one night next summer and be able to hang out with her and my other cousin who will be 21 and will be there!!!

This was a fun night!

Going Strong...

Priceless...
