Happy 2nd Birthday Taegan McKenna!!!

I can't believe that my little girl is 2 today!!! Where has time gone? I can still remember this day 2 years ago as though it was just yesterday. What a great day that was-and scary as well. Sometimes I wish it would have been a normal birth and delivery, instead of her being sick right away and having to go immediately to the NICU. After 7 days though she was ours to love and hold forever. What a ride it has been and the ride is getting faster everyday. We celebrated last night with Justin, Taegan, and I for her birthday. We went out to dinner to Famous Daves and she cried when they came to sing Happy Birthday to her! We opened up presents and even made a special trip to the Toy Store to let her spend this gift card they sent her in the mail(it was 3 dollars!). Then we came home and played outside with her new bubble mower while I picked weeds! We are headed to Kansas City today just her and I to shop and get some new bedding for her new "big girl" room!!! We are repainting the office and moving her over there because it is bigger and transitioning her bed from a crib to the toddler bed. I'm not sure I'm ready for that, but we are hoping that she is:) We are also beginning to tackle potty training-wow! We have her big party on Sunday and I will have lots of pictures then. Two weeks???

Has it really been two weeks since I have written? Wow, where did the time go? We have been busy and having fun. We had Taegan's 2 year old pictures taken and they turned out great. She is not much for actually looking at the camera and smiling, so we have to be tricky about it. Although I do love pictures where she is just being her silly self or even whining a bit. They make for some great ones too:) We have also been working on redoing some of our backyard, which is now complete. I will take pictures and post some on here-we are almost ready to take the pool out and get it setup!!!! A dear friend of mine lost her Dad in a motorcycle wreck the first week in April and that was a rough week. I still think about her everyday and how hard it must be to keep going. She is very strong and is holding up well!

Wednesday is Justin's birthday and then things start getting crazy for a week or two! I got a temp job with the Census and I start training on Sunday and have it everyday until next Saturday. Next Wednesday my baby girl will be 2 and her party will be on Sunday. WOW-it will be May! I have some pictures on my camera that I will try to load in the next few days.

We had a great weekend with family!!! Saturday morning we started off with an Easter Egg hunt here in town(Taegan did great!), then off to my parents for the evening. Sunday we headed to church and then made our way to St. Joe with Justin's family for Easter lunch and a wedding for his aunt. What a special day it was to spend with family. Taegan loved playing outside for hours with her cousins, and slept like a rock on the way home and all night!!!
